One Room Challenge - Final Reveal - Girls' Shared Bedroom

It’s One Room Challenge reveal day! I’d like to send a HUGE thank you, everyone, who has been following along these past six weeks. This room was definitely a labor of love and in the end, the girls have an updated, functional, and organized space that we ALL love! Let’s recap how the room looked before.

And here’s the mood board we created. Ready to see how the room looks in real life?

Our girls had two main requests for their bedroom. They wanted separate beds and a room with their favorite colors (pink and purple). I think we Nailed It! with bringing in both colors without having the space feel too overwhelming. Pink and purple can be tough colors to work with.

We went with pale violet sheets and white duvet covers and pillowcases for the bedding. The purple velvet throw pillow is from H&M Home and the fabric is actually a table runner (also from H&M Home).

The neutral color and clean lines of the Modway Anya Platform Bed from Hayneedle look great against the Milton & King wallpaper and pink storage cabinet from Overstock.

We went with a custom color for the closet doors that we matched from a jewelry box. I pulled the color to the trim and about four inches onto the wall as well.

Speaking of custom, the dresser is a custom piece that Josh’s dad built us (in lightning speed). I’m really into the look of natural wood and even though the dresser is a bulkier piece of furniture, the room still feels light and airy.

To make their sides of the room feel more personalized we added wire art which was shaped into their first and middle names. We also added amazing prints throughout the room from Eeni-Edit, Society 6, and RedBubble. There are a few thrifted art pieces as well.
